Mariupol, Kharkov, Chernigov, Kiev, Odessa, Izyum, Kherson, Nikolaev, Melitopol, Irpen, Gastomel, Bucha, Berdyansk, and dozens of others. Stores, drugstores, cinemas, cafes and restaurants were working. People spoke the language they wanted. They watched the movies they wanted. They read the books they wanted. Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French and any other language they wanted. People, , fell in love, got married and divorced. They built houses, bought and sold apartments, renovated their apartments, and went on vacation. And when they came back, they thought about where to go next time. Tens of millions of people must have argued with someone, and then, of course, they made up. They celebrated holidays and planted potatoes. They went to work, walked their dogs in parks, went to their dachas, sat with a fishing rod on the bank of a river, made plans, studied, dreamed! And every year on December 31 we raised a glass of champagne, wishing each other that the coming year would be even better and more successful. And the most important! That all our relatives and friends were alive and well... And then, on February 24, 2022, the "brotherly aswabadis" came. All at once and to all. They had a great mission (as they thought to themselves), to free the "oppressed" from the nationalists. Who asked for this? What nationalists? It is not clear. And so zealously did the Russian world embrace liberation that millions of Ukrainians were freed from everything. From houses, apartments, summer cottages. From plans for the future. From the usual, and therefore little-noticed goods of life. From heat, light in the house, hot water in the faucet and a white toilet. From peaceful life and sound sleep. From joy and smiles. From walks with my beloved dog. From being able to walk the streets of my city in peace. From the freedom of movement. It begs the question. What kind of liberators are you then, if before your "liberation" people lived a thousand times better! I'm not even talking about those who LIVED then, and with your coming, did not... 💙💛 I really hope that everyone understands what I wrote. ☺️
